There are several different types of roller blinds available, each with its own advantages and disadvantages.

Daylight roller blinds: These blinds allow some light to pass through while still providing privacy. They are a good choice for rooms that receive a lot of natural light.

Blackout roller blinds: These blinds completely block out light, making them ideal for bedrooms and other rooms where you want to create a dark, restful environment.

Duo / Day and Night Roller Blinds: These blinds combine a sheer and blackout fabric, so you can choose how much light to let in.

Textured Roller Blinds: These blinds have a textured fabric that adds visual interest to your windows.

Benefits of Made to Measure Custom Roller Blinds

Roller blinds offer several benefits, including:

Easy operation: Roller blinds are operated with a cord or chain that is attached to the blind. They are easy to raise and lower, even for children or the elderly.

Easy maintenance: Roller blinds are very low-maintenance. Simply wipe them down with a damp cloth to remove dirt and dust.

Durability: Roller blinds are made from durable fabrics and materials that can withstand years of use.

Versatility: Roller blinds come in a wide variety of styles, colors, and textures to complement any décor.

Quick Installation: Roller blinds are manufactured in our workroom therefore depending on fabric availability we can often provide a quick turnaround from order to installation.

Where to Use Roller Blinds

Roller blinds can be used in any room of the house, but they are particularly well-suited for the following rooms:

Bedrooms: Blackout fabric on roller blinds are a must-have for bedrooms, as they block out light and create a dark, restful environment.  If you require full blackout around the frame you should look in to BlocOut blinds.

Living rooms: With a huge variety of fabric choices and textures our roller blinds can add a touch of style and sophistication to any living room.

Kitchens: Roller blinds can help to protect kitchen countertops and cabinets from heat and splatters.

Bathrooms: Roller blinds along with adding privacy can also help to keep your bathroom cool in summer.

Choosing Roller Blinds for Your Home

When choosing roller blinds for your home, it is important to consider the following factors:

The amount of light you want to let in:  If you want to block out most light, choose blackout fabric on your roller blinds. If you want some light to pass through, choose a standard / dimout / daylight fabric or a duo roller blind.  If you want full blackout you need to choose a BlocOut system.

The style of your décor: Roller blinds come in a wide variety of styles, so you can choose one that complements your décor.

The size of your windows: If you have extra large or shaped/apex windows your blind choices and fabrics will be more limited.

Your budget: Roller blinds come in a variety of price points, so we can help you find one that fits your budget.

Repair your existing Roller Blinds by reusing fabric or old barrel / poles.

our existing roller blinds can sometimes be repaired, maybe a new barrel or side winder mechanism is not required but your fabric has seen better days or you just want to change your colourscheme, if so we can provide replacement fabric, contact us with your window sizes so we can calculate costings for you.

If your fabric is in reasonable shape but may need re-scalloping/shaping we can help you with this. If the blinds are from us previously we would always leave extra fabric so there would be enough that we can simple cut off the bottom shape and rescallop/shape your blind.

Sometimes ther may be marks too far up the fabric to do this successfully but if it's a plain fabric or has a suitable design we could also remove the fabric completely from your barrel / pole and turn it upside down so now the most worn fabric at the bottom becomes the top and the clean fresh fabric which was hidden in the roll on the barrel will become the new bottom once we put a new finish on it, this can be the same shape as before or a new shape. Contact us and we will be able to advise on the best or most suitable options and price accordingly.

We have always endeavoured to look after our customers on repairs for damaged blinds, however, if you're outside the warranty period we will still call to you or send out repair kits for a nominal fee.
